Grandmother's Doughnut
THE RECIPE OF IGINIO MASSARI

MIXING BOWL, GRADUATED PITCHER, GROSS MESH SIFTER, GAUGING CUPS,
CAKE RINGS, BAKING MATT, WHISK, MARISA (flexible spatula),

Ingredients
2 g salt
330 g fresh butter (of an excellent quality)
200 g powdered sugar
100 g honey
200 g eggs (4 eggs)
40 g fresh milk
10 g baking powder
1 vanilla bean
½ lemon grated peel
500 g low gluten white flour
Method
Mix salt, butter, eggs, sugar, honey and spices, sift flour along
with the baking powder. Mix all and form a homogeneous blend,
avoid processing for too long, otherwise it will become elastic.
In the cake rings, shape two doughnuts (weighing approximately 650
g), as well as 2 sticks of dough to be placed into the rings.
Brush the surface with the silicone brush and sugar syrup
flavoured with vanilla and lemon then sprinkle it with granulated
sugar and candied red cherries. Cook at a temperature of 170 °C
for about 30 minutes.
